Travel in the UK
The LMS workshop will be held at the Maritime Greenwich Campus,
Old Royal Naval College, Park Row, Greenwich, London SE10 9LS.
The nearest railway station to the Maritime Greenwich Campus is Greenwich.
The nearest Docklands Light Rail station to the Maritime Greenwich Campus is Cutty Sark.
From Gatwick Airport: Gatwick Airport has its own railway station and the Thameslink will take you to London Bridge in about 45 minutes. Change at London Bridge for Greenwich (about 20 minutes journey).
From Heathrow Airport: Heathrow Airport is on the London Underground - Piccadilly Line which runs every 5 - 10 minutes into Central London during day time. Last underground train leaves at 23:34. Take Piccadilly Line from Heathrow Airport to Green Park, change on Jubilee Line eastbound for Canary Wharf. From Canary Wharf, follow signs to the Docklands Light Rail station and take Light Rail trains to Cutty Sark. The total journey time is about 1 hr 50 mins.
From London City Airport: Come out of
the Airport lobby and take City Airport transit bus to Canning Town. Take
westbound Docklands Light Rail trains to Poplar and change to southbound Docklands Light Rail trains to Cutty Sark. The total journey time is about 20 mins.
From Waterloo: Eurostar trains arrive at the railway station Waterloo. Simply follow directions and walk through the connection bridge to the railway station Waterloo East and then catch a train on the Dartford Line for Greenwich.
From Charing Cross, Waterloo East or London Bridge: Catch a railway train on the Dartford Line to Greenwich.
There is very limited car parking on Maritime Greenwich. Please ask for a parking permit if you required one.
4. Connection to Thomas Spencer Hall, Woolwich:
The main teaching of Computing and Mathematical Sciences is being carried out at Greenwich. There are regular University buses running between Woolwich and Greenwich.
There are two buses (177 and 180) linking Greenwich and Woolwich. You can also take trains between Greenwich and Woolich Arsenal stations.
Charing Cross is just next to the famous Trafalgar Square, St James Park and the West End of London.
There are many railway stations in the South East of England and are linked to the railway stations at the Heart of London.
River buses depart from the Greenwich Pier to the Westminster Pier at regular times everyday.
Historical town of Greenwich - Cutty Sark, Royal Observatory, Maritime Museum, Greenwich Foot Tunnel, the Millennium Dome, etc .

7. A Tip for your London Travel:
Always ask for a one-day travel card if you travel after 9:30 am. You may obtain travel cards from railway stations, underground stations and Docklands Light Rail stations.
