Papers accepted for presentation will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press as proceedings of the DEXA'04 workshops. All submitted papers must be formatted according to the author guidelines provided by IEEE Computer Society Press (single-spaced, two-column format). The author guidelines can be found here.

Papers should be submitted in pdf form to Keith Rennolls, the Workshop Chair, (by 30 March 2004), who will organize the reviewing process together with the workshop co-Chairs. Notification will be by 29 April.  Final submission of camera ready copy must be by 12 May.

Authors of accepted papers are requested to sign the IEEE Copyright form. The final papers must not be longer than FIVE two-column pages.  Extra charges are incurred if a conference/workshop delegate presents more than one paper.

Authors of FEIDSS papers are invited to submit a fuller version of their papers (i.e. equivalent to about 10 pages), to  the peer-reviewed e-journal: " Forest Biometry, Modelling and Information Sciences" , (FBMIS).  If there are 10-15 such papers accepted, then they will constitute a special issue of FBMIS.  Note, there is a FBMIS publication charge of 150 UK pounds Sterling.

If the number of such submitted "fuller papers" is more than 20, and the quality of the papers submitted on the theme of the workshop justifies it, then consideration will be given to publishing selected "fuller papers" in a book, rather than having a special issue of FBMIS.
